GOT OLD GEAR? Wild Rock has teamed up with Family Services of Haliburton County (home of the Gull River), to recycle used paddling gear to help out young paddlers. Donations to the W.E.R.K. will get you a tax receipt that could help out on your income tax. They're looking for boats, skirts, paddles, paddling jackets and PFDs. Donations can be made at the Palmer River and Gull River festivals, or at the Boat WERKs in Minden. Call Greg Shantz at (705) 457-5345.

Crowe Bridge Festival (Sat Apr 12 2003 - Sun Apr 13 2003) I LOVE this playspot! And it's got great views for spectators from the bridge which is directly over the hole. Festival de la Jacques-Cartier (Fri Jun 13 2003 - Sun Jun 15 2003) The Tewksbury section is probably the most famous river run of the Quebec City area since it runs all summer. There are a few rafting companies on that river. The freestyle event is part of both the Quebec Circuit and the Jacques-Cartier Festival. This is an average class III-IV river depending on the level. The 'portefeuille' is a spot where everyone stops to play in. It changes a lot with the level and is always explosive!
