(enjoys mostly creeks and rates this boat 9 /10)
pros:Mutant is Wavesport’s new creek boat is a great boat for smaller people or women. Its super easy to roll. Surfs really well. I've paddled it on everything from the New and Gauley to steep little creeks up in NY. I found with its narrow bow it punches through holes like butter. The boat has decent initial stability and excellent secondary stability, and with its narrower in laid edges, the boat has the forgiveness of a round hulled boat, but the carving ability of a flat hulled boat. It surfaces very quickly and feels like it has a boofing autopilot. Its a boof machine!! It also comes with wavesport's FAT outfitting which makes it fit lots of different shaped people and very comforable. Overall this boat is an excellent design for the smaller paddler. This is a boat I will probably never get rid of.
cons:The weight range says its for the 140-180 lb. paddler. I would say the range is more like 120-160lb. unless you are low volume creeking. If you are too heavy for this boat. 160lbs and above the back end will ender in large holes. Another drawback I found was it has a smaller cockpit, which would made quick exits a little more difficult for a bigger paddler.
