Main use: playboat
Pyranha's take: Longer, faster, smother than the S6 & S7. The S8 is a full on, fast carving, dynamic blunting, smooth cartweeling, high hopping, design. Use it for dynamic surfing on river or sea waves, play in deeper holes, on sweet eddy line spots and moving about the river with speed and precision. The S8 provide the paddler with a new sense of agility and speed and remains super smooth and controlled and stable in the vertical world. Available in two sizes. The 225 for small to medium paddlers and the 235 for medium to larger paddlers.

Emma Peel (enjoys mostly river running and rates this boat 2 /10) |
| pros: | Fits tall and/or heavy paddlers, stable, plays and runs rivers well. |
| cons: | Weak hull which splits along rails. Extremely variable plastic thickness and weight between boats. Even thick ones can start to crack in rails. Hit and miss warranty. Poor customer service from factory. Thigh grips on original model impede entry/exit without giving any real support. Very deep and wide, so not the easiest to roll. |

anonymous (enjoys mostly river running and rates this boat 0 /10) |
| pros: | Roomy, slicy. |
| cons: | Wide, not easy to roll. Flimsy build. Design flaw which causes rails to split without apparent cause. I know of two cases where Pyranha's reaction to this problem has been: tough, you broke your boat. |
