Perception: Full-Tilt

Main use: playboat

Perception's take:
The Full-Tilt™ takes the innovative design of the Spin™ and adds an inch so the slightly larger guys and gals can share in the surf shredding and hole frolicking. Its balanced ends were built for cartwheeling. Its rails were designed for carving. And its accessories — like the new seat, the back ratchet backband and the adjustable bulkhead foot system — were meant to keep you comfortable from the moment you put in. Because in this boat, every ride is a long ride.

(enjoys mostly playboating and rates this boat 10 /10)
pros:Sick performer! Makes everything easy. Extremely slicey and balanced. Spin, blunt, loop.....you name it, this boat does it ! The foot room is much improved over the AMP.
cons:Although light, the new seat is very flimsy. I had to reinforce it to keep the adjuster plates from pulling through and completely releasing the seatdurring rides. The IR backband also feels like it it covered with sand paper, and leaves my love handles sore and raw.
other:no comment

pros:slicy ends on a spud boat - "best of both worlds"; loose feel even on flat water; faster than i expected; excellent outfitting
cons:very little rocker - pearls easily; no drain plug
other:as of 4/5/03 i have only had this boat on flat and moving water - i will review again when i've had more boat time on whitewater

(enjoys mostly playboating and rates this boat 8 /10)
pros:This boat is serious equipment for those that can use it. I bought it to learn in, and though it wasn't the easiest to begin with, I was happy with my experience. Easy to roll, easy to carve, fast on all waves, spins like a merry-go-round, easy to get back on your line, and fairly roomy but not too long. And it made it down river fairly well.
cons:it pearls when surfing, especially on little waves. The outfitting is nothing to get stoked on, but it works. Just throw in some time and imagination with a lil foam and glue. It also weighs a couple pounds more than I wish, but it's not real heavy. The behind the back ratchet backband is much more tedious than the new adjustable at the thighs systems.
other:If you know what you are doing and are comfortable in the Full Tilt, get one and go tear up the play spots. But make sure you are comfortable in it. it's not the shortest playboat aroun, but no the longest either.
