Liquid Logic's take:
The Skip is the smaller sized short boat compliment to the Liquidlogic quiver. Made for optimum airability, and fun easy use. It’s compact size and specially designed rocker geometry give it incredible lift off of a wave, and dynamic bounding moves in a hole. We stay true to our performance focus with this little nugget.

(enjoys mostly river running and rates this boat 8 /10)
pros:Amazingly fun playboat for smaller paddlers (me 5' 4", 125 lbs). I can't stop smiling when I get my Skip on a wave--it is incredibly loose! Surfs, spins, carves, and blunts like a dream. Small enough and light enough to initiate on flatwater and generate "bounce" for aeriel moves. Generous rocker in the bow and stern keeps the ends from catching. My skills are definitely the limiting factor in what this boat will do!
cons:SLOW, but what can you expect from an itty bitty spud boat? Balance: my Skip is very easy to throw around, but once on end it's not as stable as longer boats. Rolling: a bit of a pig--just takes practice and a lot of hip snap. Grab Loops: doesn't have any--just metal bars that are difficult for swimmers to hold onto.
other:This boat excels at what it was designed for: play. I've learned more in 2 months of playing in my Skip that I did in a year and a half in other kayaks. Whatever moves I am capable of doing, this boat will definitely pull them off! That being said, I'm a little wary of running bigger, harder water in my Skip. It is small, slow and playful--sometimes too playful when it wants to stop in holes and I don't! A fantastic playboat to learn in, but not what I would recommend for all-around river running.

(enjoys mostly playboating and rates this boat 7 /10)
pros:VERY loose, clean spins and blunts very easily. Definitely designed for bouncing rather than carving (carving qualities somewhat akin to a bath tub). It's also forgiving and light, so learning new moves on a wave or in a hole isn't too painful. Cartwheels effortlessly in a hole or on the flat, clean ends and stalls are a cinch compared to more rotund boats like the g-force.
cons:VERY slow, loses out on wave speed to the S6. Seat adjustment thumb screws are tucked around the side of the seat and are a bastard to get to, particularly if one falls off. The seat also has a tendency to slip back after a bit of vigorous end-hucking. Foot pain was also a problem for me, but then I have size 10 1/2 feet. Will probably kill you if you try to run big water in it unless you're mighty good.
other:no comment

(enjoys mostly river running and rates this boat 8 /10)
pros:The skip is a classic. Spins easily, nice blunter. Very very forgiving. Great for learning blunts, but better for learning cartwheels, has some slice to it. Okay river runner. Keep seat as far forward as you can handle
cons:A little slower than it's pal the Pocket Rocket, even though longer. While much easier to initiate cartwheels, takes a bit more power to get around.
other:A good boat, one can't help but become an advanced paddler in the Skip, If you're in a something like a Siren, you ought to take the Skip for a spin. Good outfitting with rachet system, pretty comfortable.

(enjoys mostly river running and rates this boat 9 /10)
pros:This is a no compromise playboat. It is amazingly loose and easy to initaite. Aerial moves are simple and loops are automatic (trust me on this one).
cons:As such a purpose specific boat, the Skip really suffers in terms of hull speed. Compared to my Amp it is not as stable on end, which is to be expected from a boat this short. Additionally, if you are going to only own one boat, the skip really is not it.
other:Makes a great c-1 conversion, as c-1 is all I paddle.
